Job Description / Responsibilities
Setting Sales Targets and Goals:
Define sales targets and goals in alignment with the overall business objectives.
Develop strategies to achieve sales targets, such as market segmentation, product positioning, and sales forecasting.
Sales Team Management:
Recruit, hire, and train sales representatives.
Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance management to the sales team.
Set clear expectations, sales quotas, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for individual team members.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to enhance the team's productivity and effectiveness.
Sales Strategy and Planning:
Develop a comprehensive sales strategy, including identifying target markets, establishing sales territories, and determining pricing and discount structures.
Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to refine sales strategies and capture new business opportunities.
Collaborate with marketing teams to align sales strategies with promotional campaigns and lead generation initiatives.
Sales Forecasting and Reporting:
Monitor and analyze sales data, including revenue, market share, and sales performance against targets.
Prepare sales forecasts and reports for senior management, highlighting key insights, trends, and recommendations for improvement.
Utilize customer relationship management (CRM) systems to track sales activities, manage pipelines, and generate accurate sales reports.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.
Participate in customer meetings, negotiations, and contract discussions.
Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and effectively to ensure customer satisfaction.
Sales Training and Development:
Conduct training sessions to enhance the selling skills and product knowledge of the sales team.
Keep the sales team updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and product/service updates.
Provide guidance on effective sales techniques, objection handling, and closing strategies.
Sales Performance Analysis and Improvement:
Regularly review sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
Implement sales improvement initiatives, such as sales process optimization, sales automation tools, and sales incentive programs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as marketing and product development, to enhance sales effectiveness and customer experience.
Budgeting and Resource Allocation:
Develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring appropriate allocation of resources for sales activities, training, and incentives.
Monitor and control expenses to achieve sales targets while maintaining profitability.
Market Research and Competitive Analysis:
Stay informed about market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new market opportunities and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
Collaboration and Communication:
Foster a collaborative and supportive sales culture within the organization.
Coordinate with other departments, such as marketing, operations, and finance, to ensure alignment and smooth execution of sales activities.
Communicate sales strategies, performance updates, and challenges to senior management
Remuneration
N200,000 Monthly.
