Manager / Senior Manager, Sales and Marketing at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry

The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry is the Premier Chamber of Commerce in Nigeria. It was incorporated in 1950 as a non-profit making organization, Limited by Guarantee under the Companies Act of 1948. The primary objective of the Chamber is to promote, support or oppose legislative or other measures affecting trade, industry, commerce and agriculture as well as representing the opinion of the business community on the above matters in particular, and the economy as a whole.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Manager / Senior Manager, Sales and Marketing

Location: Lagos

Reports to: Director, Trade Promotion

Job Summary

• The Manager/Senior Manager, Sales and Marketing develops products and services for specialized exhibitions and strengthen the existing strategies in response to business needs and the needs of the customers.
• He or she coordinates the timely and effective publicity and marketing of the Lagos International Trade Fair and other specialized exhibitions.

Responsibilities

• Establish contacts and do follow up on potential and old exhibitors.
• Develop proposals and offers for potentials partners and sponsors
• Manage the productivity of canvassers and objective assessment of performance
• Mobilize exhibitors, partners and sponsors to attend LITF events
• Manage the advertisement opportunities for partners – Strategic location for branding
• Handle exhibitors complaints and satisfaction – Exhibitor Service Centre
• Manage the offers of partnership and exhibition for the Africa Hall
• Booking of spaces for exhibitors, partners and sponsors – Coordinate
• Others as assigned

Job Requirements and Competencies

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Marketing, Business Administration or a relevant field.
• M.Sc or MBA in relevant field.
• 8-10 years cognate working experience.
• Previous Marketing experience in NGOs or specialised exhibitions will be a great advantage.
• Good organisational skills with attention to details and accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in managing conflict priorities and working with tight deadlines.
• Excellent diagnostic skills and critical thinking ability.
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced changes in the work environment and requirements of internal clients
• Relevant professional qualifications will be required.
