The Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, a second generation Polytechnic in Nigeria was established in 1972 but commenced operation in 1973. The institution is one of the top Polytechnics in Nigeria in terms of the number of candidates seeking admission yearly. The institution has remained outstanding because of its stable academic calendar for almost two decades, with 31 and 25 accredited National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes, respectively. The Polytechnic has as its motto: Technology, Innovation And Service.

Registrar - Contopsal Salary Structure
The Registrar is a Principal Officer and the Chief Administrative Officer of the Polytechnic and is responsible to the Rector for the day-to-day administration of the institution. The Registrar is also the Secretary to the following organs of the Polytechnic:
The Governing Council.
Other Statutory Committees of the Polytechnic.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must be a holder of a good Honours Degree from a recognized institution of higher learning plus at least 17 years cognate experience or holder of Master's Degree in Arts, Social Sciences or Humanities from a recognized institution of higher learning for at least 16 years or a holder of Doctorate Degree plus at least 12 years cognate experience, five (5) of which should be in the Polytechnic or TVET sector.
Applicants must be a person who is not likely to pursue racial, ethnic, gender, political, religious and other sectional interests and must be a dynamic individual with impeccable reputation and demonstrable integrity.
Applicants must be versatile in ICT and its application and must belong to recognized Professional Bodies.
Eligibility:
Applicants must be a Deputy Registrar with not less than four (4) years experience on that post in the Polytechnic or similar TVET institutions.
He/she should not be older than 55 years of age at the time of appointment and must also have at least five (5) more years in service.
Conditions of Service
The salary, allowances and other conditions of service of the Registrar are as applicable in all tertiary institutions in Kwara State.
These are also subject to review from time to time as may be approved by the State Government through the Governing Council.
