Job Title: Web / Database Management Assistant

Location: Lagos Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Description 

• We need an Information technology professional; he is needed to design, develop, implement, support, and manage computer-based information systems, including both software applications and computer hardware.

Duties

• Designing, implementing and evaluating computer-based systems, processes, components, and programs.
• Analyzing technical problems and identifying computer requirements to solve those problems with appropriate IT solutions.
• Identifying, analyzing, and responding to user needs for the selection, creation, evaluation, and administration of computer-based systems.
• Protect the Institute’s sensitive data, by recommending, then deploying, and maintaining security measures and technologies used to prevent hackers from accessing the Institute’s computer networks and systems.
• Manage the institute’s membership database, making it easily accessible and effective.
• Manage photocopier machines/printers: change toner where need be.
• Install and update software, antivirus, and hardware as at when needed.
• Anticipate and report the cost of replacing or updating computer items.
• Design website, manage company website and server.
• Oversee prompt payment of all online IT and social media transactions.
• Oversee the functionality of the website, evaluate and manage website performance, facilitate hosting and server management, and develop, maintain and update website content.
• Offer technical support to company staff and troubleshoot computer problems.
• Manage emails and bulk mails; ensure prompt payment of our bulk mails.
• Monitor website traffic, analyze user behavior and provide insights for improving user experience.
• Manage website security and ensure that it is up-to-date with the latest security protocols.
• Manage website updates, including software updates, plugin updates, and content updates
• Implement SEO best practices to improve website visibility and search engine rankings
• Monitor and analyze website analytics and provide regular reports to superiors.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in website development and design.
• Any other duties as may be assigned.

Qualities

• Experience with content management systems such as WordPress.
• Knowledge of web design principles and experience working with designers.
• Understanding of SEO best practices and experience implementing them.
• Familiarity with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
• Strong project management skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Respect for superiors and colleagues

Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in IT support
• Experience with a variety of operating systems and software
• Experience with network administration

Salary
N100,000 - N120,000 monthly.
