Job Title: Systems Accountant

Responsibilities
What you will do:
Provide day-to-day ERP support, including opening tickets with the service provider as necessary and seeing through to closure
Support with the UAT and implementation of system enhancements, any new systems/modules design etc.
Support with system updates and bi-annual upgrades, including UAT and deployment
Conduct trainings as/when necessary, including development and maintenance of training materials, hosting periodic refreshers etc.
Ensure complete handover of any new processes or system improvements to the relevant owners in the ops team
Build customized reports using SAP Business Objects to meet various user requirements as and when needed
Maintain a clean and orderly reports database, including indexing of reports, ensuring the reports are still working as expected after upgrades etc.
Support with designing mockups of new reports to meet business needs as/when requested
Support individual offices’ external audits as and when required
Support with financial modelling for our regular reporting and budgeting processes including maintenance and rolling forward each year
Support line manager with building financial models as and when necessary and according to design/specs provided
Support with year-end close processes including opening and closing periods, running the year-end close in the system and helping staff navigate any system issues preventing them from closing their books
Support with annual/biannual system updates such as uploading new rate cards, importing promotions etc.
Ensure services are delivered in an effective and customer-focused way, and that effective working relationships are maintained with key stakeholders
Other ad hoc reporting or system-related matters and requests
About You
Degree / Diploma in Finance or Accounting – some bookkeeping knowledge is essential to support with posting correcting journals
At least 3 years in a systems/similar role specifically working with an ERP
Advanced Microsoft Excel financial modeling skills; experience with VBA will be beneficial
Experience with SAP Business Objects 4.0, including ability to design and build reports with it
Excellent analytical skills, a strong ability for problem-solving and able to think outside the box
Strong attention to detail, and maintains a high degree of accuracy in both data-capturing (cross-referencing and checking documentation) and providing information
Excellent time management skills and able to handle multiple requests at a time
Demonstrates initiative by seeking quality improvements within work processes
Able to handle conflict and respectfully push back as and when required
Clear communication and presentation skills – prior experience with presenting training to a large audience will be beneficial
Experience working with multiple currencies and intercompany transactions
Must be able to work in a high-pressure environment
Must be self-motivated and disciplined to work remotely
