Technical Service Manager at Eta Zuma Group W/A Limited

Eta-Zuma Group is a company of 8 separate companies with exploration licenses covering diverse solid minerals like iron ore, gold, tantalite, coal, limestone/marble, etc. In April 2009, these eight companies were acquired by Energy and Metal Industries Limited to form the Eta-Zuma Group Limited. ETA-Zuma Group is an indigenous conglomerate with interests in diverse strategic sectors of the economy. The acquisition was spurred by the economic reason to consolidate the diverse licenses into a balanced portfolio that will reduce risk and position the emerging company to exploit emerging market opportunities in a global commodities market that is on a rebound. The acquisition also included Eta-Zuma Group Limited - a key player in the emerging solid minerals industry of Nigeria. The acquisitions increased the size of the company more than five-fold. The Group re-opened earlier exploration sites and has since invested over $10million in proving reserves of especially marble and opening up new coal reserves and in new plant and machinery.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Technical Service Manager

Location: Okobo, Kogi

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for all equipment maintenance jobs.
• Liaise with Deputy Workshop Manager to plan every repair job, manpower planning and utilization of teams’ expertise.
• Provide technical guardian to the entire EZM and CC TSD teams.
• Liaise daily with all the workshop managers, deputy workshop managers, senior equipment supervisors etc to ensure proper equipment maintenance uptime and optimum availability in the most prudent manner.
• Liaise with OEM and it’s Reps on issues related to technical matters.
• Ensure that all maintenance processes, procedures, schedules and protocols are in place and fully documented in all EZM and CC locations and also completely adhered to at all times.
• Ensure that schedule oil sampling (SOS) is carried-out as scheduled. Reports to be issued monthly.
• Drastically reduce failures, corrective and unplanned repairs in all EZM and CC equipment irrespective of locations.
• Be responsible to organize expert technicians to service and maintain all EZM and CC equipment and apparatus.

Competencies / Requirements

• B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.
• 6 - 10 years proven work experience in similar role.
• Professional Qualification is added advantage.
• Experience in a supervisory role.
• Proven Track records in Major Machine repairs/overhauling & preventive/predictive maintenance.
• Computer literacy (Microsoft office package, SAP).
• Excellent reporting & planning skill.
• Good communication skill.
