Job Title: Health Program Manager (F/M)
Location: Maiduguri, Borno
Fixed-term contract: 6 months

Job Description
Under the supervision of the deputy general coordinator, you are in charge of the implementation, follow-up and overall supervision of the health program in Maiduguri.
You ensure a close collaboration with the logistics and administrative departments and a good team spirit.
Main Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities are:
Program management:
Ensure the development, implementation and quality of activities
Make sure that activities are implemented in a holistic and integrated way
Contribute to needs assessments and context analysis
Supervise the facilities in regards of their different needs
Analyze monthly budget monitoring
Participate in the development of the health strategy
Support the creation of specific tools
Ensure the establishment of the appropriate documentation and an effective archiving system
Work in close collaboration with the technical program unit and local partners
Work closely with local partners to ensure capacity building
Actively participate in the sector meetings
Team management:
Directly manage the medical supervisors and provide technical support to all medical teams
Recruit, integrate and brief the new team members
Carry out appraisals
Ensure that all staff under your responsibility know and follow MdM policies and procedures
Organize regular team meetings, briefings and debriefings
Maintain good inter-team communication and team dynamic
Monitor and support stress management
Carry out performance reviews
Plan and implement thematic specific trainings/capacity building/refreshers
Make sure that the midwives are trained to manage cases of gender based violence
Management of medical stock and logistics chain for medical purchase:
Contribute to establish an agenda regarding procurement processes and delivery of drugs
Define in advance the drugs and consumables needs
Ensure the supervision of the clinics pharmacists
Ensure that supported health facilities receive drugs and consumables on time
Validate and cross check the consumption reports
Ensure proper documentation and analysis of all pharmacy and medical stock reports
Representation, coordination and communication:
Participate in the writing of donor’s activity reports and proposals
Represent MdM in all relevant forums and medical meetings
Participate in the writing of reports, factsheets and program reviews
Maintain relations with the administrative authorities and other stakeholders
Maintain close and beneficial working relationships with all relevant stakeholders
Respect and apply internal reporting requirements
Ensure constant, transparent and proactive communication
Requirements
Medical Doctor, Nurse, Midwife with experience in public health and project management
Significant experience in similar positions
Experience in supervising health facilities
Experience in program cycle management and budget follow-up
Experience in outbreak management and emergency response
Experience/knowledge of the region is an asset
Ability to have a global overview of a program
Ability to analyze an epidemiological context and propose relevant interventions
Ability to make quick decisions according to the context in coordination with the team
Proven ability to problem solving and lead teams through very challenging situations
Excellent knowledge of Windows (word, excel)
Languages: English is mandatory (oral and written).
Knowledge of French or country languages such as Hausa would be an asset.

Monthly Salary
3119 Euros (Gross)
