Job Overview

• We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced AWS Tutor to join our team. As an AWS Tutor, your main responsibility will be to provide comprehensive tutoring sessions to individuals or groups of students who aim to develop proficiency in Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud computing platform.
• Your role will involve guiding students through various AWS services and helping them gain practical skills to design, deploy, and manage applications on the AWS platform.

Responsibilities

• Conduct one-on-one or group tutoring sessions to assist students in understanding and utilizing AWS services effectively.
• Assess students' skill levels and learning needs to tailor tutoring sessions and curriculum accordingly.
• Teach students the fundamentals of cloud computing and the benefits of using AWS.
• Instruct students on setting up AWS accounts, configuring security, and managing user access.
• Guide students in understanding and implementing key AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and others.
• Teach students how to design scalable, fault-tolerant, and highly available applications on AWS.
• Assist students in implementing infrastructure as code using AWS CloudFormation or other automation tools.
• Instruct students on deploying applications to AWS using various deployment strategies.
• Teach students how to monitor and troubleshoot AWS resources and optimize performance.
• Help students understand and implement security measures and best practices in AWS.
• Offer guidance on architecting applications for cost optimization on AWS.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest AWS services, features, and industry trends, and incorporate them into tutoring materials.
• Monitor students' progress, provide constructive feedback, and suggest areas for improvement.
• Foster a positive and collaborative learning environment, encouraging students' passion for AWS and cloud computing.
• Collaborate with other tutors and instructors to exchange ideas, resources, and teaching strategies.

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree.
• Strong proficiency in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and a deep understanding of its various services and features.
• Previous tutoring or teaching experience, specifically in AWS.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud computing concepts and architectures.
• Familiarity with AWS core services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, and VPC.
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Understanding of monitoring and troubleshooting techniques in AWS.
• Knowledge of security measures and best practices in AWS.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively explain complex concepts and techniques.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities to help students overcome challenges in working with AWS.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
• Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies in cloud computing and AWS.
• AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Developer, are highly desired but not mandatory.
