Mogtech Group Limited is a holding Company whose members have evolved through the years. The group was set up to provide shared Management services for the various companies within the group in a standardized manner. Currently, the group is made up of 4 active companies: Mogtech Systems Nigeria Limited, MTS property Development Company Limited, Alkanes Petroleum & Gas Limited and Alkanes Energy Services Limited.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Account Supervisor

Location:Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full time
Job Level: Mid-Level
Reporting Line: Group Chief Finance Officer (GCFO)

Job Summary

• The Account Supervisor oversees the accounting activities of the member Company or companies from the group, assigned to his supervision, ensuring prompt and accurate accounting actions are carried out per time, in order to maximize the Group’s value.

Main Responsibilities

• Preparation of invoices
• Follow up with customers to ensure payment of invoices
• Maintaining schedules of Account Receivables and Payables
• Raising of journal entries.
• Preparation of bank reconciliation statements and validating accuracy of COT and other charges.
• Petty cash imprest management
• Raising memos for Payments
• Postings into ERP
• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Updating of fixed asset schedule
• Responsible for inventory controls and management
• Responsible for checking accuracy of monthly staff payroll
• Ensure accurate preparation, remittance and filing of monthly and annual returns to Federal and State tax authorities and other government agencies
• Attending to external auditors during the annual audit of the financial statements.
• Any other duties as may be assigned by the GCFO and Group Executive Chairman.

Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma in Accounting
• ICAN or ACCA certified
• At least 3 years of proven accounting professional experience
• Good working knowledge of Accounting Software Packages
