We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Release Engineer

Location: Cairo, Egypt
Employment Type: Full-time

What Does the Job Involve

• Develop and maintain the release schedule for all software releases, coordinating with development, testing, and product management teams to ensure timely delivery.
• Manage the code merging and deployment process to ensure that software releases are delivered smoothly and efficiently.
• Design and implement deployment pipelines and release automation tools to streamline the release process.
• Develop and maintain deployment scripts to automate the release process.
• Ensure compliance with release management policies and procedures.
• Monitor and report on release metrics,including release frequency,lead time,and defectrates.
• Continuously improve the release process to increase efficiency and reduce risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience, at least 1 year of experience in Coding/DevOps.
• Strong understanding of source control management.
• Experience managing software releases in complex environments.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Experience with deployment automation tools such as GitHub Actions (GHA) and Kubernetes.

Non-Negotiables

• Candidate must be located in Egypt and be able to work in Cairo
• Candidate must have 2 - 4 years of experience in writing and reading code
• Candidate must have 2 - 4 years in version or source control with a large team
• Candidate must have 2 - 4 years of experience in DevOps.
