The company is currently engaged in the bulk storage and distribution of refined petroleum products (PMS, AGO, and DPK) and Liquefied PetroleumGas (LPG), also known as cooking gas. The company through its state-of-the-art storage terminal in Port-Harcourt has positioned itself as a reputable player in the downstream oil and gas sector.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: HSE Officer

Location: Rivers

Job Description

• World-class planning, execution, and delivery of technical and managerial Health, Safety, and Environmental aspects of the depot, including overall coordination of the HSE program and the drive to reach our goal of zero HSE Incidents.
• Provide and manage consistent high-quality HSE development work and services for Safety relating to onsite safe systems of work and to Technical Integrity.
• Take the lead in implementing the Zero Tolerance Must Win on Work Site Hazard Management improvement requirements.
• Monitor, review, and report HSE performance including main contractors and subcontractors to achieve the performance commitments.
• Drive compliance with Matrix Energy Group Policies, standards, and procedures; local and HSE regulations.
• Drive to achieve the development of HSE Case for Bluefin Depot.
• Drive to achieve ISO 14001 certification.

Requirements
Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Science or Engineering Degree.
• At least 3 years’ experience in the Oil and Gas industry.
• Possess certification in NEBOSH.
• Seasoned HSE Professional with broad experience with the downstream sector, experience with HSE risk aspects of Oil and Gas, and/or management experience within the Oil & Gas environment.
• Good understanding of the business risks. Able to develop and implement downstream & Industry policies, strategies, and standards.
• Good MS Office skills particularly in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
