Job Objective

• We are seeking a highly skilled and creative IT Software/Web Developer to join our logistics company. As a developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications and web solutions that enhance our logistics operations and improve overall efficiency.
• Your expertise will be instrumental in driving innovation and implementing technology solutions to meet the evolving needs of our company.

Responsibilities
Software Development:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for software applications.
• Design, code, test, and debug software solutions, ensuring high-quality performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Conduct thorough testing of developed applications to identify and resolve any bugs or issues.
• Regularly update and maintain existing software applications to keep them up-to-date and compatible with changing technologies.

Web Development:

• Create and maintain responsive, user-friendly, and visually appealing websites and web applications that align with the company's branding and objectives.
• Develop intuitive user interfaces and optimize web performance for seamless user experiences.
• Implement and manage content management systems (CMS) to enable efficient website content updates.
• Stay updated on the latest web development trends and best practices, integrating them into new and existing projects.

Database Management:

• Design and develop databases to support various applications and websites, ensuring data integrity and security.
• Optimize database performance and conduct regular backups to prevent data loss.
• Implement data retrieval and reporting mechanisms for efficient data analysis and business insights.

Integration and APIs:

• Integrate third-party APIs and services into existing systems to enhance functionality and data exchange capabilities.
• Develop custom APIs to facilitate seamless communication between different software applications and platforms.

Technical Support:

• Provide technical support to internal teams and end-users to troubleshoot and resolve software and web-related issues.
• Collaborate with IT colleagues to ensure the smooth integration of new systems and updates.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Web Development, or a related field with 5 - 10 years experience.
• Experience: Proven work experience as a Software/Web Developer, with a track record of developing and maintaining software applications and websites.
• Programming Languages: Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, Java, or C#, as well as web technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js).
• Database Management: Experience with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB) and the ability to write complex SQL queries.
• Web Development Tools: Familiarity with web development tools, libraries, and frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, jQuery, Node.js).
• Version Control: Experience with version control systems like Git for code collaboration and management.
• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to analyze complex technical challenges and devise effective solutions.
• Adaptability: Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and learn new programming languages and tools.
• Communication: Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing previous software and web development projects will be an advantage.

Salary
N200,000 - N250,000 / month Gross.
