We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Special Assistant to the MD / CEO

Location: Head Office, Victoria Island, Lagos
Reports to: MD / CEO
Level: Manager

Job Summary

  • The Special Assistant to the MD/CEO is responsible for developing varied analysis, board presentations, and materials for a range of key stakeholders.
  • He / she will provide corporate strategic support as well as financial and operational performance measurement.
  • An attractive compensation package will be offered to the right candidate who meets these qualifications.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide advice and counsel to the MD/CEO on a range of issues
  • Support major corporate initiatives including acquisitions and capital projects
  • Develop planning tools such as cash flow and return projections with associated analysis of profitability and risk
  • Participate in improvements to reporting and control systems
  • Draft speeches, presentations and other papers for the MD/CEO
  • Produce research and analysis relating to corporate strategy, financial performance, programs and activities
  • Maintain a strategic overview of the external environment, working with relevant teams, to support the MD/CEO
  • Assist the MD/CEO to promote the organisation externally through writing, media, social networks, expert groups and public speaking
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • MBA from leading graduate business school
  • 5-10 years experience
  • Experience as a senior strategic advisor
  • References from related experience.

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience as a senior strategic advisor and/or consultant to CEO
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to liaise and team with others
  • Self-driving initiative
  • Attention to detail
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Problem-solving and project management skills
  • Excellent presentation skills including PowerPoint
  • Experience with high level analytical analysis of financial and operating performance
  • Familiarity with tools such Microsoft Power BI or other business intelligence tools
  • Ability to develop financial models in Excel.
