Job Title: Project Officer
Location: Maiduguri, Borno
Job Purpose
The Project Officer (PO) shall contribute to all aspects of Project Cycle Management (PCM) of the Multisectoral project in Borno State.
This includes a contribution to operational planning and supervision of project delivery, project staff, quality management, accountability and compliance with humanitarian and donor requirements.
The PO will liaise closely with MEAL and accountability department, logistics, HR, and finance horizontally and vertically through the DPM.
Job Responsibilities
Supports in the operational planning, implementation and monitoring of BHA projects in close collaboration with the project Medical Activities Managers (MAM), WASH supervisors, Senior Protection Officers (SPOs), logistics officer, assigned MEAL staff, and the Accountability Officer.
Supports the DPM in planning and tracking budget expenditures and accountability, ensuring that cash held by staff are closed in a timely manager.
Monitors and consolidates sector leave plans and shares with DPM for approval and onward submission to HR and ensures strict adherence to leave schedule.
Enhances teamwork and capacity building in order to ensure the delivery of quality aid to beneficiaries and their communities.
Coordinate PR development, revision, review, approval, and archival processes across the sectors
Follow up on staff contract status and raise CNs in close coordination with the DPM Multisector, HR, and other relevant authorities.
Review monthly PNs-analyse budget variances and suggests/flag areas of concern to the PM-Multisector
Compile the procurement plan/forecast and share it with the DPM-Multisector for review and approval in close coordination with the logistics and finance departments.
Convenes monthly and quarterly project reviews with the support of the DPM.
Coordinates monthly PAT update with the MEAL department and ensure timely update.
Initiate and actively follow up on the documentation of success stories and case studies with the communication specialist and the respective sector leads.
Follow up with sectors on updating the monthly work plans on the google drive folder.
Leads the compilation of monthly regional/in-country report.
Coordinate inception processes for new grants with support of the DPM
Coordinates semi-annual, annual and Final reporting activities.
Perform other Duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Minimum of B.Sc / HND in Project Management, Public Administration, Economics or related field.
3 - 5 years project management experience in multinational working environment.
Work within the framework of INTERSOS Nigeria’s core values.
Act as an ambassador for INTERSOS Nigeria, through professionalism and conduct.
Adhere to all INTERSOS policies and procedures both technical and administrational.
Undertake and apply learning from appropriate training and development programmes.
Maintain and care for all equipment issued by INTERSOS Nigeria and for any losses or damages due to negligence you will be liable for repair or replacement.
