Job Summary

• SunFi is building an entirely new energy financial technology ecosystem platform. The employee will own and improve the quality of the SunFi Platform.
• The employee is responsible for ensuring that the quality of our software products meets or exceeds customer expectations.
• This individual will work closely with product engineers, product managers, and customer service to identify and resolve quality issues and to implement processes and procedures to prevent future quality problems. - bringing our brand to life across every component, layout, use case, and user experience.
• The employee will have the ability to think strategically, act pragmatically, and have the tenacity, energy, and passion for innovating and implementing change within the time and resource constraints of a quickly growing startup environment.
• The employee will report to the CTO and be required to communicate with and engage colleagues, and leadership effectively.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Developing and executing manual and automated tests to ensure software quality. Analyzing and investigating quality issues, and working with product engineers to identify and implement solutions.
• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Test current products and identify deficiencies
• Maintain quality documentation and records
• Developing and implementing quality control processes and procedures to ensure product quality.
• Investigate product quality in order to make improvements to achieve better customer satisfaction
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
• Present product ideas to relevant team members for brainstorming
• Participating in product design reviews to ensure quality considerations are incorporated into the design.
• Conducting root cause analysis of quality problems and implementing corrective actions.
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
• Collaborate with customers, Product Managers, Frontend, and Backend Engineers to iterate on the quality and implementation of our product.
• Identify and communicate design best practices.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess an HND / Bachelor's Degree
• 4+ years creating and shipping software.
• Proven work experience in software development
• Proven work experience in software quality assurance
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases. Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools for Web, Mobile, and API platforms. Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment
• Experience with performance and/or security is a plus
• Ability to “think outside the box” while identifying problems and developing creative solutions.
• Ability to work in a distributed and remote team.
• Good communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
