Job Objectives
The Head of Sales will be responsible for the business growth of the Company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for all or part of a department's operations or the company's operations, including generating revenue and controlling costs.
The ideal candidate is expected to improve the overall organization performance and customer satisfaction by improving service delivery to clients. It will be the responsibility of Head of Sales to plan, coordinate and manage all business operations to achieve corporate goals.
As well as developing and implementing business plans for profitability.
Assist in building a commercial team by employee recruitment, training, performance evaluation, promotion, and termination activities.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Be the primary Commercial contact for Business Activities for both suppliers and internal stakeholders ensuring both parties clearly understand each other's needs and requirements.
As senior management, the ideal candidate will be responsible for all cross functional duties including but not limited to Strategic Management, Market Research, Contract Management, Supplier Management and General Administration.
Provide critical Commercial support / input to the activity team in relation to value generation, business risk and supplier capability.
Work with suppliers to deliver the best co-pack solution for all activities, and ensure contracts, software optimization and all governance are correctly followed.
Be a leader in the activity process giving focus to generating value whilst reviewing adherence to Quest & activity timelines/processes and when necessary, provide healthy challenge to the team.
Responsible for Planning, Coordinating, and implementing all Sales and Commercial strategies.
Driving business growth to ensure commercial success and business Development
Execute New Business Development Actively targeting new customers and partners.
Maximize key account sales revenues from existing customers and leverage success and relationships to propagate organization to next level.
Mentor the reporting teams.
Carry out any other tasks as may be required by Management.
Experience and Qualifications
A related B.Sc Degree. An MBA will be an added advantage.
Supply Chain, Procurement and Sales Experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent numeracy skills.
Advanced computer software skills, including Excel, Power Point, and other accounting packages.
Required Skills and Competencies:
Previous experience in selling, trading, and activity management
Conversant with Supply Chain Management Cycle and Supply Chain Technology.
Experience in Software Sales, B2B e-commerce or Fin-tech Product Sales.
Great Network and contacts with the utility, private and public sector is a must have.
Experience in selling to the Private, Public and Utility sector is a must have.
An understanding of local and international trade, supply chain, import and export activities.
A confident individual who can build strong relationships across a broad network of stakeholders.
Excellent time management skills coupled with high attention to detail.
Excellent communication and presentation skills are a must have.
Experience working with a startup company is a must have.
Someone with a genuine interest in the commercial space.
