A Conglomerate in the Real Estate sector is recruiting suitable candidates to fill the position below:

Job Title: Executive Director, Finance & Business Support Services

Location: Lagos

Job Objectives

• Assist in improving the level of efficiency and effectiveness of the Company
• Assist in the growth of the Company’s clientele base through the efficient execution of assigned roles and adaptation of  innovative methodology.
• Review existing Policies for use in the Division and where necessary draft new Policies aimed at improving efficiency levels
• Provide insightful reports which will guide the CEO in making strategic decisions
• Reduce operational expenses and Staff costs
• Deepen existing relationships with Contractors, Vendors, Residents Associations and other relevant Partners/ Stakeholders 

Scope of Duties / Job Description
Oversee the smooth and efficient running of the underlisted through direct supervision and mentoring of their Team Leads:

• Finance Department
• Corporate Services Department incorporating Human Resources & Administration, Estate & Partners Relations, Facility Management
• Corporate Communications Unit
• Legal Services & Company Secretariat 

Finance Functions:

• Ensure compliance with statutory authority and audit requirements.
• Maintain integrity of Accounting systems (software), ensuring it remains effective and operational at all times.
• Ensure all taxation requirements are complied with at all times.
• Posting all account related transactions into the system.
• Update “chart of accounts” monthly to reflect account management activities.
• Payroll Preparation and Payment of Salaries and wages.

Finance Administration:

• Ensure the monthly reconciliation of all ledgers and sub-ledgers. 
• Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
• Management of the Payment Approval Systems across all functions 
• Timely issuance of Receipts to Clients 
• Prompt payment of contractors 
• Efficient management of advances to Contractors
• Preparation of Financial and Related Reports

Budgeting/Forecasting Reporting:

• Ensure the accurate preparation/reporting of monthly financial results
• Preparation of budgets.  
• Prepare financial management reports. 

Asset Management:

• Ensure all company assets are monitored and accurately accounted for.  
• Ensure the fixed assets register is managed and maintained with strict adherence  to “fixed assets register procedure.”  
• Monitor and track equipment register for consistency.  
• Ensure the general ledger is reconciled to the assets register. 

Other Duties:

• In the course of your employment with the Company, you will carry out other tasks or duties as may be assigned to you by the CEO, from time to time.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess a Master's Degree in Finance or related field
• Ex-Banker or Ex-Partner in an Audit Firm or held a Senior Executive Management Position on the same job schedule in a big Corporate 
• Minimum of 15 years experience
• Must be a Chartered Accountant
• Must be within 50-55 years of age.
