Job Description

• Compile and analyze financial statements
• Prepare, examine, and analyze financial statements, reports, and records to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
• Record and track daily financial transactions, including revenue, expenses, inventory, and payroll.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records.
• Provide periodic financial reports and performance analysis to the management team.
• Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments to suppliers and vendors.
• Oversee accounts receivable to ensure prompt collection of payments from customers.
• Monitor and control inventory levels, ensuring proper valuation and tracking of stock.
• Conduct periodic inventory audits to prevent shrinkage and discrepancies.
• Stay up-to-date with tax laws and changes that may affect the establishment.
• Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations for improving financial performance and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Must have a minimum HND / B.Sc in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4-5 years’ experience
• Proven experience as an Accountant in the hospitality industry, ideally in a hotel or restaurant setting.
• Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
