The Jigawa State Government has approved the establishment of Jigawa State College of Remedial and Advanced Studies, Kafin Hausa, Jigawa State. Full academic activities would commence in September 2012.

Applications are hereby invited from suitable and qualified members of public for the following academic and non-academic staff vacancies available in the newly established Jigawa State College of Remedial and Advanced Studies (JICORAS) Kafin Hausa, Jigawa State.

1.) Academic Staff

IJMB & Remedial Studies Department	Senior Lect in: English Mathematics Physics Chemistry Biology Geography Accountancy Business Management Hausa I.R.K Sociology Political Science	06	A holder of PhD in relevant field from recognised institutions with at least 6 years on the job cognate experience or Master degree in reIevant field from recognized institutions with at least 9 years cognate experience and proven ability for research work Membership of professional body is mandatory.
		Lecturer I in: Same as above	05	A holder of Master degree in relevant field from recognized institutions with at least 6 years on the job cognate experience or Good honors degree in relevant field from recognized institutions with 9 years on the job cognate experience and proven ability for research work.
		Lecturer II in: Same as above	03	A holder of Master degree in relevant field from recognized institutions with at least 6 years on the job cognate experience Good honors degree in relevant field from recognized institutions with 3 years on the job cognate experience and proven ability for research work.
		Lecturer III in: Same as above	02	A holder of Master of degree in relevant field from recognized institutions Good honors degree in relevant field from recognized institutions with 3 years on the job cognate experience. Evidence of computer literacy will be an advantage.
		Assistant Lecturer in: Same as above	01	A holder of good honours degree in relevant field from recognized institutions plus NYSC discharge or exemptIon certificate. Evidence of computer literacy will be an advantage.
2.	Library Department	College Librarian	09	A holder of PhD in relevant field from recognized institutions with at least 12 years cognate experience in running higher institution library. Master degree in relevant field fromrecognized institutions with 15 years cognate experience in running higher institution library and proven ability for research work. Membership of professional body is mandatory.
		Principal Libarian	05	A holder of Master degree in relevant field from recognized institutions with 3 years cognate experience in running higher institution library. Good honours degree in relevant field from recognized institutions and proven ability for research work. Membership of professional body is mandatory.
		Librarian II	01	A holder of good honors degree in relevant field from recognized institutions plus NYSC discharge or exemption certificate. Evidence of computer literacy will be an advantage.

2.) Non-Academic Staff

Good honours degree in relevant field from recognized institutions with 12 years cognate experience preferably in Management of tertiary institution. Membership of professional body is mandatory.
		Senior Assistant Registrar	12	A holder of Master degree in Arts, Social Sciences or Humanities from recognized institutions with 6 years cognate experience preferably in Management of tertiary institution. Good honours degree in relevant field from recognized institutions with 9 years cognate experience preferably in Management of tertiary institution. Membership of professional body is mandatory.
		Assistant Registrar	09	A holder of good honours degree in Arts, Social Sciences or Humanities from recognized institutions with 6 years cognate experience preferably in Management of tertiary institution. Evidence of computer literacy will be an advantage.
		Administrative Officer I	18	A holder of good honors degree in Arts, Social Sciences or Humanities from recognized institutions with 3 years cognate experience preferably in Management of tertiary institution. Evidence of computer literacy will be an advantage.
		Administrative Officer II	07	A holder of good honors degree in Arts, Social Sciences or Humanities from recognized institutions plus NYSC discharge or exemption certificate. Evidence of computer literacy will be an advantage.
		Higher Executive Officer Administration	07	A holder of National Diploma in Public Admin., Business Admin., or Human Resource Management from recognized institutions plus NYSC discharge or exemption certificate. Evidence of computer literacy will be an advantage.
		Confidential Secretary	07	A holder of National Diploma in Secretarial Studies or National Diploma in Computer Science with 6 years cognate experience or High National Diploma in relevant field plus NYSC discharge or exemption certificate. Evidence of computer literacy will be an advantage.
2.	Bursary Department	Bursar	15	A holder of good BSc in Accountancy or Finance from recognized institutions wIth 15 years cognate experience preferably in a tertiary educational institution. Membership of either ICAN or ANAN is mandatory.
		Principal Accountant	12	A holder of good BSc in Accountancy or Finance from recognized institutions wIth 9 years cognate experience preferably in a tertiary educational institution. Membership of either ICAN or ANAN is mandatory.
		Senior Accountant	09	A holder of good BSc in Accountancy or Finance from recognized institutions wIth 6 years cognate experience preferably in a tertiary educational institution. Membership of either ICAN or ANAN will be an added advantage.
		Accountant I	08	A holder of good BSc in Accountancy or Finance from recognized institutions wIth 3 years cognate experience preferably in a tertiary educational institution. Evidence of computer literacy will be an added advantage.
		Accountant II	07	A holder of good BSc in Accountancy or Finance from recognized institutions plus NYSC discharge or exemption certificate. Evidence of computer literacy will be added advantage.
		Higher Executive Officer Account	07	A holder of High National Diploma in Accounting or Finance from recognized institutions plus NYSC discharge or exemption certificate. Evidence of computer literacy will be an added advantage
		Senior Stores Officer	07	A holder of National Diploma in Purchasing & Supply from recognized institutions or any relevant field with 6 years cognate experience or Higher National Diploma in any relevant field from recognized institutions plus NYSC discharge or exemption certificate. Evldenceof computer literacy will be an added advantage.
	Works and Service Department	Director of Works and Services	15	A holder of good honors degree in Engineering from recognized institutions with 15 years cognate experience in project working management or Master degree from recognized institutions with 9 years cognate experience. Membership of professional body is mandatory.
		Principal Engineer	12	A holder of good honors degree in Engineering from recognized institutions with 9 years cognate experience in project working management or Master degree from recognized institutions with 6 years cognate experience. Membership of professional body is mandatory.
		Engineer II	07	A holder of good honour in Engineering from recognized institutions plus NYSC discharge or exemption certificate. Evldenceof computer literacy will be an added advantage.

Preferential consideration will be given to candidates having 1st or 2nd class upper division degree in the appointment of all categories of academic staff. Candidates with grades of lower than 2nd class lower division need not to apply.
