Job Description

• As an IT Officer, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring the smooth functioning of hardware, software, and network systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company's IT infrastructure.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, peripherals, and network devices.
• Monitor system performance and promptly address any issues or failures.
• Provide technical support to employees regarding software applications and systems.
• Install, update, and troubleshoot software applications across the organization.
• Collaborate with vendors for software licenses and support agreements.
• Set up and maintain the organization's local area network (LAN) and wireless network.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and resolve them efficiently.
• Implement and manage regular data backup procedures to prevent data loss.
• Conduct periodic security audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Conduct routine maintenance on computers, printers, and other hardware components.
• Coordinate with external vendors for hardware repairs and replacements.
• Assist employees with IT-related queries and issues.
• Conduct training sessions to enhance employees' IT skills and awareness.
• Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all IT assets and equipment.
• Manage the procurement of IT hardware and software as needed
• Develop and update IT policies and procedures in line with industry best practices.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for IT systems, configurations, and processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2+ years relevant work experience.
• Proven experience as an IT Officer or similar role is preferred.
• Proficiency in managing Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
• Knowledge of networking protocols, firewall configurations, and VPN setup.
• Familiarity with cloud computing services is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
• Ability to troubleshoot software and hardware problems effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with employees and vendors professionally.
• Willingness to stay updated with the latest IT trends and technologies.
• Collaborative attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
