About the Job
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and delivering large-scale enterprise projects, particularly focusing on software applications.
Your role will be critical in ensuring successful project execution, adherence to timelines, budget management, and seamless communication with stakeholders at all levels.
Responsibilities
Project Planning: Lead the planning phase of complex IT projects, including defining project scope, objectives, resources, and timelines. Develop detailed project plans and work breakdown structures to ensure clear direction and efficient execution.
Project Execution: Oversee project implementation and monitor progress, ensuring milestones are achieved on time and within budget. Identify potential risks and issues, proactively develop mitigation strategies, and effectively manage project changes.
Team Leadership: Manage a diverse team of IT professionals, including developers, analysts, and testers. Foster a collaborative work environment, provide guidance, and motivate the team to deliver high-quality results.
Stakeholder Management: Establish strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including business units, senior management, vendors, and regulatory authorities. Keep stakeholders informed about project status, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all project deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and compliance with relevant industry regulations and best practices.
Budget Management: Monitor project expenses and resources, maintain budget control, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Reporting and Documentation: Prepare comprehensive project reports, status updates, and documentation for executive review and regulatory requirements.
Change Management: Implement effective change management strategies to minimize disruption during project implementation and ensure smooth transition to new software applications.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance project management processes, methodologies, and tools, contributing to the continuous improvement of the IT department's project delivery capabilities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Master's Degree is a plus.
Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering large enterprise IT projects, particularly in the development and implementation of software applications.
Minimum 6 years of experience in a project management role within the banking or financial services industry.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desirable.
Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making capabilities in high-pressure environments.
In-depth knowledge of banking industry regulations and compliance requirements is an advantage.
