We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Data Analyst

Location: Nigeria

Scope of Role

• As the Data Analyst, you'll enable us to make better decisions, faster. Working as part of a cross-functional team alongside product managers, growth marketers, customer experience support, designers, and engineers, you'll apply your expertise to drive the future of what we build at Bamboo.
• The successful candidate will analyze data, clearly articulate hypotheses, run complex SQL queries to mine the wealth of data we collect, and present findings and suggestions. You will be expected to be proactive in contributing data-backed recommendations in shaping Bamboo’s products and features.

Responsibilities 
What you will be doing:

• Conducting exploratory data analysis, interpreting large sets of data to discover patterns and identify trends, you will create timely, relevant and actionable insights into user behavior and transactions that will be highly impactful.
• You will utilize statistical techniques and data visualization tools to communicate insights effectively to product teams and other stakeholders.
• Delivering reports and insights into end to end product and business performance and trends, investigating data anomalies and ensuring a single source of truth
• Analyze user interactions within the app to understand user behavior, preferences, and pain points.
• Generate actionable insights to optimize user experiences and increase app engagement.
• Design, implement, and analyze A/B tests to evaluate the impact of app features and improvements.
• Present findings and make data-driven recommendations for Bamboo’s products and features.
• Create and maintain regular reports and dashboards across teams to provide stakeholders with timely performance updates and actionable insights.
• Ensure outputs are accurate, timely and meet the business need
• Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices in handling sensitive user data.

Requirements
Must have the following qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Math, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business or similar qualifications.
• 3 to 5 years related experience, working with large and unstructured data, deploying, and implementing recommendations across the business.
• Experience in querying, extracting, and transforming large data sets and leveraging data from various sources.
• The ability to transform data into insights which can be presented/communicated to senior stakeholders across the business.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL/Python/R and visualization tools like Tableau, and familiarity with cloud-based data platforms.
• Strong Excel skills, and extensive experience using Excel for analysis.
• Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies and experimentation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to logically analyze requirements, processes, systems

• You can convey problems and solutions using effective communication, both written and verbal

Bonus Qualifications & Experience:

• A strong understanding of payments, investment or the fintech industry -particularly working with B2C products.
• An understanding of Data Science techniques and it’s applications in a B2B/B2C environment
• Naturally inquisitive about investment technology in Africa
• Familiarity with predictive analysis
