Green Space Farms (GSF) was launched in 2016. We launched with venture capital funding and supervision. Put simply, our core objective is to practice Sustainable farming which makes us a good custodian of the Land and God’s given natural resources. We are also engaging the local community to be part of our success story by providing them with employment and professional advisory services for local subsistence farmers.

We are recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Title: Agribusiness Manager

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Description 
The successful candidate will work with the General Manager  to carry out the following functions :

• To manage the farm to ensure a timely, consistent supply of raw materials to the factory, within target cost parameters
• Analyzing data to determine the best price to charge for our product based on market conditions, production costs, and other factors
• Agricultural Budgeting and Costing (Crops and Livestock) and new projects
• Oversee the agricultural, technical, finance and administrative teams towards meeting financial and operational targets for the business.
• Develop an annual budget for the farming business.
• Work with the finance team to manage the finances  of the business in line with the agreed budget
• Develop and execute an appropriate recruiting and team development plan in line with corporate objectives
• Ensure compliance with statutory obligations whilst ensuring ongoing and effective management of relationships with all external stakeholders
• Manage key farm-related stakeholder relationships in the best interest of the business
• Collate, analyze, and present periodic operational and financial reports to management
• Providing advice and support to all farm managers in the field to help them improve their outputs
• Evaluating the economic impact of new technologies or government policies on the agriculture industry
• Developing and implementing plans to improve farm productivity and efficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Agric Economics, Agribusiness, Business Admin, Agric Engineering or any other related courses from a reputable educational institution
• Minimum of 4 years of general management experience in a real sector, Agricultural operations management.
• Strong Finance / Accounting Knowledge
• Strong Analytical Skills using
• A background in agriculture, agribusiness management or supply chain management is will give you an edge/advantage

Salary Range
N200,000 - N300,000 / month.
