Repair Electrical Systems and act quickly to make on-the-spot repairs when electrical systems and machinery malfunction.
Troubleshoot Malfunctions of any electrical system must make inspections and assess potential problems, and recommend changes or upgrades to electrical systems to increase productivity and functionality.
Perform regular tests to new and existing electrical systems, equipment, and machinery, both to spot potential problems and to ensure that systems are operating at their highest possible levels of functionality.
To inspect, repair, replace, adjust, install, wire and maintain electrical equipment in the plant or an assigned area. Make electrical repairs as required.
Installation, operation, relocation, and maintenance of all production equipments.
Provide regular scheduled electrical repair, installation, prevention and inspection work.
Implementation of preventative and predictive maintenance strategies
Initiates and carries out projects to improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs.
Tracks, analyses and improves key maintenance parameters; such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, PM compliance, schedule compliance, downtime, etc.
Ability to use various tools, including but not limited to precision tools, drill press, power tools, grinders, drills, pullers, hoists, wrenches, meters, screw drivers etc.
Environmental and Safety Compliance. To follow all company procedures including following all company health and safety requirements.
Completion of required documentation as specified in relevant standards and regulations to maintain 100% statutory compliance at all times.
Preferred, knowledge and experience to provide technical guidance to instrument technicians and electricians.
Should have engineering skills and a knowledge of a wide variety of technical subjects including hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, mechanical, and computer systems
Should have experience in transformer, switchgear and switchboard in high tension, medium and low voltage, emergency generator, dynamic uninterrupted power supply, dynamic voltage regulator, variable speed drive
Preferred Skills
Bachelor's Degree preferred in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience in the manufacturing environment in a managerial role
Previous experience in facilities/plant engineering is a plus
Operation and maintenance of overhead cranes
Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Experience with integrated drives with PLC control
Experience in trouble-shooting, monitoring, and general maintenance and repair
Experience working in a facility with multiple shift
Good time management skills
Comfortable reading and understanding electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
Work independently as well as team.
