Position Overview

• We are seeking a skilled and analytical Demand Planning Officer to join our pharmaceutical company's supply chain team.
• The Demand Planning Officer will play a crucial role in optimizing inventory levels, ensuring product availability, and driving accurate demand forecasts to support our company's growth and customer satisfaction goals.
• The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of demand planning processes, exceptional attention to detail, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities
Demand Forecasting:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to gather relevant data for demand forecasting.
• Utilize statistical analysis and forecasting techniques to develop accurate short-term and long-term demand forecasts for various product lines.
• Monitor market trends, historical data, and external factors to refine forecasting models and improve forecast accuracy.

Inventory Optimization:

• Maintain optimal inventory levels by aligning demand forecasts with supply chain capabilities, production schedules, and lead times.
• Minimize excess or obsolete inventory through effective demand forecasting and proactive inventory management strategies.
• Identify potential inventory risks and opportunities and provide recommendations for mitigation.

Collaborative Planning:

• Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders, such as sales, marketing, and production teams, to ensure seamless information sharing and alignment of goals.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to provide insights on demand trends, potential demand shifts, and market developments.

Performance Analysis:

• Regularly analyze forecast accuracy and demand variance to assess the effectiveness of forecasting models and identify areas for improvement.
• Generate and present reports to management on demand planning performance, highlighting key metrics and trends.

New Product Introductions:

• Collaborate with product development and marketing teams to provide input on demand forecasts for new product launches.
• Develop launch-specific demand plans, considering factors like market potential, competitive landscape, and product lifecycle stage.

Continuous Improvement:

• Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and demand planning methodologies to drive continuous improvement in demand forecasting accuracy and efficiency.
• Propose and implement process enhancements to streamline demand planning workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
• Proven experience (3 years) in demand planning within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SAP, ERP systems).
• Familiarity with statistical forecasting methods, such as time series analysis, regression, and moving averages.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage complex data and draw meaningful insights.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities, work independently, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry regulations and market dynamics is advantageous.

Salary
N200,000 monthly net.
