Job Description

• Our client is seeking for a highly experienced and accomplished professional to provide strategic leadership as its Managing Director.
• As the Managing Director, you will have overall responsibility for the strategic direction, financial performance, and operational effectiveness of the company.
• You will work closely with the Board of Directors to drive business development, profitability, and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Drive business development initiatives and maximize profitability in accordance with the yearly budget approved by the Board.
• Mobilize deposits to ensure the organization's liquidity.
• Oversee the risk management structure and ensure the implementation of a comprehensive risk management framework.
• Review the funding position to optimize fund utilization while considering associated risks.
• Drive the organization's loan business to achieve acceptable CBN PAR threshold and meet all CBN-approved ratios.
• Manage legal matters and mitigate legal risks through proper oversight and coordination.
• Review the financial system, reports, and performance to provide recommendations for improved financial performance.
• Develop a long-term financial plan and budget for organizational sustainability.
• Collaborate with Senior Management and Heads of Departments to draft and execute a strategic plan for the organization.
• Lead day-to-day operations in alignment with established goals, objectives, and policies set by the Board.
• Review and develop organizational structures to enhance employee performance and contribute to organizational growth.
• Present comprehensive quarterly reports to the Board, covering all aspects of the business and products.
• Fulfil other duties assigned by the Board of Directors as required.

Role Requirements

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc / BA) alongside a Master's Degree in a Financial discipline. Professional certification from renowned institutions will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in Banking and Microfinance services.
• Proven track record in a senior managerial position in financial services.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience in developing and implementing strategic and business plans.
