Job Overview

• As an Electrical Engineer working on a grid project, you will play a crucial role in planning, designing, testing, and optimizing various components such as transformers, switchgear, transmission lines, and substations.
• You will collaborate closely with the project team to ensure that the electrical systems are integrated seamlessly into the grid, meeting safety, reliability, and performance standards.
• Additionally, you will play a key role in troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues that may arise during the project's lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems and components for the grid project.
• Collaborate with the project team to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
• Perform simulations and analysis to optimize the performance of electrical components.
• Create detailed technical specifications and drawings for electrical equipment.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues as they arise during the project.
• Provide technical support to the construction and installation teams.
• Monitor the progress of electrical work and make adjustments as necessary.
• Participate in project meetings and provide updates on electrical engineering aspects.
• Stay updated with advancements in grid technology and propose innovative solutions.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources related to electrical engineering tasks.

Job Specification

• HND, Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 5 - 10 years relevant work experience.
• In-depth knowledge of power systems, electrical design principles, and grid infrastructure.
• Proficiency in using relevant software tools for simulation, modeling, and analysis.
• Experience in developing detailed technical specifications and drawings for electrical components.
• Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and codes related to power distribution and transmission.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including civil engineers, project managers, and technicians.
• Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve electrical issues.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Knowledge of emerging trends and technologies in the electrical grid sector.
• Commitment to safety protocols and practices
• Project management experience is a plus.
