Job Summary / Role Description

• The Subcontracts Administration Engineer supports the Senior colleagues and the Responsible of the Function in the activities of reference pertaining to the administration of the subcontract, from award to close-out.

Duties and Responsibilities
Following the guidelines of the Responsible, the Subcontracts Administration Engineer has the following main responsibilities:

• Gain a deep knowledge of the Subcontracts is involved in, and the relevant Annexes in order to properly manage risks and opportunities related to the various subcontracts
• Check in detail the accounting submitted by Subcontractors for "unit prices Subcontracts"; in particular verify quantities (to be calculated in accordance with the drawings issued for construction and in accordance with the Methods of Measurement defined in the Subcontract), verify correct application of unit prices (to be in accordance with the contract price list, and Subcontract requirements), verify correctness of all calculations (arithmetic)
• Assist Subcontracts Administration Manager (SAM) in the evaluation and verification of extra works
• Support SAM in the management of Subcontractor’s correspondence and, when necessary, interfacing with the Subcontract Administration Contractual Management group
• Support SAM in collecting and analyzing information relevant to the performance of the Subcontractor, in order to address the eventual issues
• Assist SAM in other Subcontract Administration activities, as required (for example support in the preparation of meeting, review and comment the Subcontractor's Interim and Final Progress Payment Certificate, check the availability and integrity of the documentations for the final payment certificate, etc.)
•  Interface with other Site departments to get the necessary information (for example, but not limited to:
  • Information related to the progress of the project from Project Control, information to face technical problems from Construction) to manage properly all the Subcontracts
• Expedite and ensure timely receipt of accountings and other deliverables from Subcontractors
• Maintain proper filing of all Subcontracts and accounting documents in accordance with the relevant procedure.
• According to the complexity of the project, activities managed and level of autonomy, the above-mentioned activities are assigned to the Senior Subcontracts Administration Engineer.

Person Specification
Knowledge & Qualifications:

• University Degree or equivalent Study background.

Experience:

• Management experience for an EPC company in for, at least, two plants as  Subcontracts Administration engineer (SAE)
• Plants for the gas treatment
