Job Summary / Role Description

• Construction Quality Engineer is responsible for the implementation of Construction Quality standard during proposal and execution phases, interfacing with various Group functions (e.g. Commercial dept, System Quality, Project Quality and Engineering).
• Moreover, he/she collaborate and assist with the AWP Champion/AWP Group Leader to implement the AWP Methodology and deliverables on the assigned projects, with particular reference to the CWP (Construction Work Package) related documentation pertinent to Quality.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Following the instructions given by the responsible of Construction Quality, participate to the development of organizational procedures and methodologies for quality management in construction activities, and to the revision of construction quality standard, in coordination with the Functions responsible for Project/System quality activities;
• To review the request of Client for site quality aspects during proposal phase;
• To customize the project procedure for Plant handover: methodology, tool and management of certification, walk down and punch list and develop the Handover presentation;
• To participate to initial phase of project identifying Construction Quality deliverable list (Site Quality
• Plan and related procedures for specific projects) and their issue planning; participate to the related preparation and revise Client comment in order to reach the approval status;
• To support the AWP Champion/AWP Group Leader in the preparation of the CWP-related documentation;
• Together with Commissioning Manager, ensure documents’ consistency related to the completion of construction and pre-commissioning activities
• To comment/approve the Technical Bid Evaluations limited to the Construction quality point of view
• To participate, as required on Workshop visits of potential subcontractors (if required);
• To provide support to site Quality Manager in resolution of problems related to quality, when needed.
• When located at Site the Construction Quality Engineer, operatively reporting to the Construction Quality
• Manager (or to the Site Manager, if the QAM is not present), shall:
• Ensure the application of appropriate correction to quality documentation;
• Ensure that all procedures and inspection plans are correctly applied;
• Ensure the updating of Site Quality Plan and related site quality procedures during project execution;
• Provide support to site in resolution of problems related to quality, when needed;
• Support the handover management at site

Person Specification
Knowledge & Qualifications:

• University Degree or equivalent Study background.

Experience:

• Management experience for an EPC company in for, at least, two plants as Construction Quality Engineer (QAE)
• Plants for the gas treatment.
