Job Title: IT Engineer

Location: Lagos
Reports to: Executive Director (ED) – Project & Support

Job Description

• As the Project Manager of IT and security, you are responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining computer systems, CCTV, access control, and security systems in commercial/residential projects.
• You are also responsible for testing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking systems to meet the needs of the client/employer. The IT engineers will be required to train staff and manage new/existing projects.

Responsibilities

• Designing and installing computer hardware configurations.
• Design and installation of security systems including CCTV, and access controls.
• Installing and troubleshooting software and networking systems.
• Maintenance and service of CCTV systems
• Provide training on-site to the end user
• Installing high-level software security systems.
• Service calls and fault-finding
• Installing access control
• Maintain computer security and backups or other procedures as instructed.
• Responding to general IT requests.
• Ensuring security software is kept up to date To be flexible in order to undertake the many different areas of work that are required, such as project work, producing reports etc.
• And all other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a similar field.
• Extensive knowledge of computer hardware systems.
• 2 Years of proven experience in service/maintenance and installation of CCTV and Security Installations.
• Have proven electrical/electronic skills.
• Understanding of technical drawings and documentation
• Good working knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) or engineering software is a plus
• Good understanding of safety standards and the environmental impact of a design
• Ability to present in front of stakeholders and managers.
• Great computational ability
• Excellent oral and written communication
• Product-focused creative thinking
• Attention to details and good project management skills
• Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal
• Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
