We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:
Job Title: Study Supervisor and Interviewer: PMC Qualitative Study
We require qualified research personnel that will support with qualitative data collection from caregivers, local leaders, and health facility workers in the project sites through a qualitative research approach as part of the Perennial Malaria Chemoprevention (PMC) effect study implementation in Osun state.
General Specific Tasks
Interviewers (Qualitative Study):
Participate in the training activity on the use of the interview guide and interview process
Participate in the pre-test and finalization process for the interview guide
Collect data using the interview guide provided within the assigned areas or respondents.
Document all the findings in the provided interview guide.
Ensure the interviews are accurately recorded.
Identify and recruit participants for FGDs
Compile and sort the recorded interview records as directed by the supervisor.
Transcribe all recorded (audio) interviews
Ensure anonymity of respondents and develop a relationship of trust and safe space during interview exercises with respondents.
Identify and report any challenges faced that could affect the quality of the data.
Take responsibility for project equipment
Report issues and challenges to the supervisor
Present the data to the supervisor at the end of each day.
Report to the supervisor before and after the day’s work for further direction.
Follow confidentiality and security procedures to ensure respondent privacy is protected
Submit all interview records (audio) and transcribed files to the supervisor(s).
Supervisor (Qualitative Study):
Participate in the training activity for conducting data the collection process and step-down training for interviewers
Liaise with the lead consultant to obtain necessary interview guides
Identify the interview respondents and fix an appointment for interviews
Organize the FGDs sessions
Coordinate the interview process and assign daily tasks to interviewers
Ensure that all interview recording devices are accounted for
Responsibility and oversight for all interviews and data transcription
Collate and report daily issues and challenges to the lead consultant
Follow confidentiality and security procedures to ensure respondent privacy is protected
General Deliverables
Supervisor (Qualitative Study):
Identify respondents, book appointments for the interviews, and coordinate the interview process
Supervise the interview process and record transcription
Summary daily reports
Interviewers (Qualitative Study):
Attendance list at training
Completed interviews records
Transcription of interview records

General Qualifications and Experience
Supervisor (Qualitative Study) - Essential:
B.Sc or M.Sc in a relevant academic field
At least 3 years experience in collecting qualitative data
At least 2 years experience in supervising qualitative research
Practical knowledge of community entry & mobilization techniques
Demonstrated experience in the management of qualitative data activities and enforcing data quality procedures
Strong attention to detail.
Computer literacy to be able to work on electronic data collection applications.
Good facilitation skills
Desired:
Good communication skills and experience in participatory methodology.
Innovative, motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.
Certification in M&E will be a plus
Good written and verbal skills in English
Resident in Osun state
Interviewers (Qualitative Study) - Essential:
OND / HND or a B.Sc in a relevant academic field
At least 3 years experience in collecting data for qualitative studies
Attention to detail.
Computer literacy to be able to work on electronic recording devices.
