Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented IT Test Manager to join our team at ENGIE Energy Access.
As an IT Test Manager, you will be responsible for leading the testing efforts for our IT projects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business requirements.
Your expertise in test management, test strategy development, and quality assurance within the EEA context will be instrumental in driving the success of our IT initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Test Strategy Development: Collaborate with project stakeholders, business analysts, and development teams to formulate comprehensive test strategies for our projects. Ensure alignment with business goals and requirements.
Test Planning and Execution: Create detailed test plans and test cases, covering functional, integration, regression, and performance testing within the EEA context. Lead and oversee the testing process, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
Test Automation: Identify opportunities for test automation and work with the testing team to design and implement automated test scripts. Continuously improve test automation coverage for efficient testing.
Defect Management: Establish an effective defect management process for tracking and resolving issues. Coordinate with development teams to ensure timely resolution of identified defects.
Test Environment Management: Collaborate with IT infrastructure and operations teams to set up and maintain appropriate test environments in compliance our requirements.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze test results, performance metrics, and quality indicators for projects. Provide actionable insights to stakeholders and drive continuous improvement.
Test Reporting and Documentation: Generate comprehensive test reports, including status updates, test coverage, and defect summaries, for communication with project stakeholders and management.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the testing team members, fostering a collaborative and performance-driven work environment. Provide guidance and support for professional development.
Stakeholder Communication: Establish strong relationships with project managers, business stakeholders, and other teams involved. Ensure transparent communication about testing progress and results.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
5 years of experience as an IT Test Manager or in a similar leadership role focused on test management.
Extensive experience in developing test strategies, test plans, and test cases for complex IT projects.
Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks, with a focus on enhancing testing efficiency.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in test execution and defect management.
Familiarity with various testing methodologies, such as Agile and Waterfall.
Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire testing teams, ensuring effective collaboration and results.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
Relevant testing certifications, such as ISTQB, are a plus.
