Leveraging on technology, this role will be providing high-quality virtual medical assistance that is safe, patient-centered, timely, efficient and equitable via telemedicine to our patients. We are seeking General Practitioners comfortable with providing adequate and delightful care to patients of all ages, who will perform teleconsultation services via designated telemedicine Application and other channels as well as mobile medicine.

Job Description
Discuss and review patients' medical history, symptoms, allergies, and current medications.
Perform a range of functions including but not limited to; initial history taking, clinical assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of care.
Ask patients situation-specific questions to formulate accurate diagnoses and perform specialized diagnostic physical exams and treatment procedures.
Review and act appropriately on blood results and referrals/correspondence regarding patients.
Formulate suitable treatment plans to address non-threatening conditions, such as common colds, cases of flu, ear infections, urinary tract infections, allergies, and rashes; ensuring compliance with approved standard treatment guidelines.
Prescribe various diagnostic tests to aid in providing accurate diagnoses.
Analyze diagnostic test results and explain them to patients.
Prescribe suitable medications to patients and provide proper dosage and administration instructions.
Participate in all treatment and preventative healthcare services as delegated and agreed upon by the supervising Clinical Managers.
Maintain accurate records of patient's contact details, medical history, prescribed medications, allergies, diagnoses, and progress, via designated Electronic Medical Record System.
Attend regular educational meetings organized by the practice in order to update clinical knowledge, practice policy and guidelines, and disseminate other useful information relevant to the provision of adequate healthcare for patients in order to discuss in a bid to learn from recent significant events relating to clinical practice occurring within the clinics.
Advise patients on suitable diets and exercise regimens to improve their overall health.
Develop and utilize treatment tools that standardize the provision of care on the platform.
Support the training of other medical providers (doctors)
Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions amongst medical practitioners on the platform.
Routinely review and assess the consultations for compliance with set guidelines.
Know and ensure all medical protocols are followed and implemented, checking universal precautions are followed at all times and reducing bio-hazard risks and improving infection control.
Ensure professional confidentiality is respected.
Ensure absolute confidentiality of medical data and patients’ information.
Responsible for patient safety and apply patient centred care
Education
Minimum of MBBS, MBChB, or its equivalent
Registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria with a valid practicing license.
Completion of compulsory internship and national service or exemption.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years post-NYSC experience in obsterics and gynaecology, paediatrics, family medicine, infectious diseases, HIV/AIDS/STDs, TB, general practice, general medicine or minor surgery.
Added advantage; Desirable in tropical medicine, post-registration experience in Public Health, Previous experience mentoring a medical team.
Can commit to being online and is readily available to pick up consultations as they are requested on the platform.
Language:
Fluent in English and Hausa
Knowledge:
Computer literacy with access to a mobile device (android or apple) and stable internet.
Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office suite
Adept in the use of common mobile applications
Skills to perform minor trauma care including suturing, plaster casting, debridement etc.
Demonstrates evidence of independently attending to common primary healthcare conditions

Keep up to date with relevant medical research, technology, and evidence-based medical practice by attending continuing education courses and professional meetings.
