Brief Job Overview

• We are looking for an Articulated Truck Drivers who will operate heavy-duty trucks with a detachable trailer, responsible for transporting goods over long distances.
• Tasks include loading/unloading cargo, vehicle maintenance, and ensuring timely deliveries.

Responsibilities
The ideal Candidate will (but not limited to):

• Operate an articulated truck to transport goods from one location to another.
• Meet set targeted number of trips.
• Inspect the truck before and after each trip to ensure it is safe to operate and report any defects or malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, including driving within the speed limit and maintaining a safe following distance from other vehicles.
• Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly to prevent damage and ensure safety during transport.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs of driving hours, mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery schedules.
• Communicate with dispatchers and other team members to coordinate schedules and routes and report any delays or issues that may affect delivery times.
• Performs any other duty as may be assigned by the Senior Management.

Qualifications

• SSCE / WAEC

Required Competence:

• Valid driver's license for articulated trucks.
• Minimum of 3+years of experience driving articulated trucks
• Ability to maintain and service the truck as necessary.
• Excellent driving record with no accidents or violations
• Ability to operate and manoeuvre the truck in tight spaces and difficult terrain.
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with dispatch and other drivers.
• Flexibility to work long hours and travel long distances as needed.
