Job Title: Loading Supervisor

Location: Apapa, Lagos

Summary

• Supervise daily loading activities at the warehouse in line with stated policies, guidelines and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise loading and offloading operations and re-assign resources as required.
• Obtain and review daily work schedule, incoming truck schedules, work orders and bill of lading in order to effectively plan and prepare for each day’s activities.
• Supervise receipt of all shipments and process receipts, noting and reporting on discrepancies and damages as applicable.
• Carry out safety inspection of loading/unloading, staging and inbound/outbound areas in the warehouse.
• Coordinate loaders on how to arrange goods in the truck to maximize truck space.
• Collaborate with security team to coordinate truck arrival, entry and exit.
• Maintain records of all activities and processes pertaining to the storehouse.
• Prepare activity reports as required for the attention of the Unit Head.

Requirements

• OND or relevant qualification in Administration or any relevant discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
• Inquisitive mindset with willingness and ability to learn quickly.
• Ability to read and write and communicate in passable English language.
• High degree of diligence, commitment and good self-hygiene.
• Must be familiar with vehicle mechanisms and able to carry out first level assessment of conditions.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and good attention to detail.
• Must be disciplined and familiar with ethical driving rules and regulations.
