Job Description

• As a Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for managing portfolios in line with set objectives and assisting with implementing strategies to grow the company's Assets under management.
• You will also provide general support to the Head, Investments.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage portfolios in line with set objectives and risk tolerances.
• Development and review of client investment propositions.
• Maintain new and existing client relationships.
• Construct successful investment portfolios informed by market conditions, economic trends, and client investment objectives.
• Preparation of Investment proposals and investment risk analysis.
• Liaise with team members to ensure that the research needs/inputs to actualize investment management objectives are delivered on a timely basis.
• Ensure timely, reliable, and accurate reporting on all investment and Fund accounts/activities.
• Evaluate the performance of investment portfolios and ensure compliance with standards provided by regulators including conforming with anti-money laundering requirements.
• Process client Subscription/Deposits and Redemptions/withdrawals promptly.
• Ensure all regulatory reports are filed in a timely manner.
• Stay up to date with relevant investment and trading news and economic trends.

Person Specification

• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in relevant disciplines. Possession of CFA, ACCA qualification required.
• MBA or relevant M.Sc will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in a similar role within the same industry
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Impeccable interpersonal skills
• Excellent presentation skills
• Hands-on in making Pitch books, Information Memorandum, and Financial Projections.
• Ability to multitask and work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Highly collaborative and thrives well in a fast-paced work environment.
• In-depth knowledge of the industry’s standards and regulations
• Excellent business acumen.
