GBV Case Worker at Green Concern for Development (GREENCODE)

GREENCODE a registered outstanding and credible national Nigeria Non-Profit/Government Organisation (NGO) working on social justice and humanitarian response in both the southern and northern regions of Nigeria for over 18 years still counting.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: GBV Case Worker

Location: Bama, Borno
Employment Type: Contract

Responsibilities
Case management:

• Provide professional and confidential services to survivors of GBV, grounded in the GREENCODE/CBM holistic, survivor-centered case management approach.
• Document client information through accurate filling of intake forms and ensure confidential and safe storage - Support the maintenance of the GREENCODE case management system by maintaining client confidentiality
• Ensure the GBVIMS is accurately updated on a regular basis. - Ethically and confidentially collect and store GBV data.
• Participate in interpretation of the analyzed data on trends and work with the GBV Officer to disseminate information to all relevant stakeholders.
• Participate in the development of case management monitoring systems and help to ensure that GBV community workers utilize these systems correctly and consistently.
• Participate in preparation of all relevant reports regarding the GREENCODE psychosocial activities.

Others:

• Fulfil any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Respect the code of conduct and policies of GREENCODE and the standards of the GBV team.
• Adhere and uphold the GREENCODE Way (integrity, accountability and service) at the respective areas of work

Qualifications

• National Diploma or Bachelor's Degree, in any Science or Social Science course.
• One year of professional experience in implementing similar projects in Northeast.
• Must be an indigene of Borno and fluent in speaking English, Kanuri and Hausa languages (Excellent English oral and written communication skills)
• Excellent level of computer literacy
• Experience in leading project implementation in an insecure and volatile locations.
• Excellent experience/skills in vetting, filling and documentation as well as negotiation.
• Experience of working with communities and managing team members, as well as excellent track record of transparency and accountability.

Other skills:

• Demonstrable knowledge as a result of study, training or practical experience on GBV project management;
• Knowledge of the various donor’s interests, priorities and requirements;
• Excellent English oral and written communication skills;
• High level of computer proficiency.
• Demonstrated ability to manage senior colleagues.
• Strong focus on results.
• Strong written and oral communication skills with an enthusiasm for writing.
• Good sense of humor.
• Fluency in both English with Hausa/Kanuri languages as added advantage.
