We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Copywriter

Location: Lagos
Job Grade: Senior Business Analyst/Assistant Manager
Reporting Line: Head, Brands & Marketing

Core Purpose of the Job

• This role will manage all facets of content creation.
• You will be responsible for creating, analyzing, and overseeing content production.
• You will also play a critical role in ensuring that product, promotional, and informational content is presented in an effective manner, in line with brand guidelines.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Work closely with the business to create an effective content marketing strategy and editorial plan in line with business objectives
• Collaborate with art director, product, and retail to assess project needs and help with messaging
• Generating engaging content for thought leadership pieces, websites, social platforms, and marketing collateral which include print and video
• Developing and executing content marketing campaigns to drive traffic, engagement, leads, sales, and customer retention
• Developing and managing the editorial calendar to ensure deadlines are met
• Managing relationships with external marketing agencies and suppliers
• Ensuring consistency of brand voice, style, and tone across all content
• Develop and implement brand guidelines
• Stay current on trends and competitors within the editorial sphere
• See projects through the whole creative lifestyle, from inception to deployment
• Additional Roles Based on unique location within Organisation Structure (i.e. Division / Department).

Key Interfaces:

• Internal Customers: Internal Stakeholders - Retail, Product, Technology
• External Customers: Vendors and suppliers

Requirements
Academic Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or Communications

Work Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in content marketing or copywriting

Other Requirements:

• Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Attributes):
• Strong creative thinking skills and ability to think conceptually
• Comfortable working independently with little direction under tight deadlines
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a diligent eye for detail, language, flow, and grammar
• Proven ability to demonstrate brand voice
• Strong attention to detail
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
• Excellent portfolio of work

• As required and recommended for the role
