Job Title: Pre-Teen Teacher

Location: Remote

Job Summary

• The Pre-Teen Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and educational environment for pre-teen students, typically between the ages of 7and 12.
• This role involves designing and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans, fostering positive relationships with students, and collaborating with colleagues and parents to support the holistic development of pre-teen learners.

Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Development:

• Develop and implement a dynamic and engaging curriculum that aligns with educational standards and the specific needs of pre-teen students.
• Create lesson plans, activities, and assessments that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.

Instruction and Classroom Management:

• Deliver effective instruction that encourages critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity.
• Maintain a well-organized and positive classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Manage classroom behavior and implement discipline strategies when necessary, always promoting a respectful and inclusive atmosphere.

Assessment and Progress Monitoring:

• Regularly assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
• Use a variety of assessment tools to evaluate student understanding and adjust instruction accordingly.

Student Engagement and Support:

• Foster a love for learning by making lessons relevant and engaging.
• Offer academic and emotional support to pre-teen students to help them navigate the challenges of this developmental stage.

Parent Communication:

• Maintain open and effective communication with parents or guardians to keep them informed about their child's progress and address any concerns.
• Conduct parent-teacher conferences as needed.

Professional Development:

• Stay up-to-date with current educational trends, teaching methodologies, and best practices.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

Collaboration:

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to share ideas, resources, and best practices.
• Attend staff meetings and contribute to school-wide initiatives.

Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure the safety and well-being of all students in the classroom.
• Comply with school policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field.
• 3 - 5 years relevant work experience.
• Teaching certification or license as required by the state or educational institution.
• Previous teaching experience, especially with pre-teen students, is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of child development and pedagogy for pre-teen learners.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with pre-teen students.
• Organizational skills and the ability to manage a classroom effectively.
• Proficiency in educational technology and classroom management software is a plus.

Salary
N60,000 - N80,000 Monthly.
