Job Description
The EHS Specialist - Environmental Data Analyst will support environmental data collection, analysis, and verification in support of metric development, internal/external reporting, and risk reduction.
This role will work to maintain compliance, execute EHS programs, and deliver EHS excellence at GEHC’s operations, with focus in Environmental Programs.
The role also has primary responsibility for external verification of environmental data (including but not limited to Greenhouse Gases) per internationally recognized standards.
They are responsible for engaging a cross-functional team to create, drive, and publish metrics and performance on environmental and sustainable development issues across GE HealthCare.
What you'll do
Identify and improve key performance metrics for environmental programs in support of internal programs and external reporting requirements and work with cross-functional teams to identify and establish processes to collect supporting data
Conduct regular audits for internal GHG accounting and lead external verification reviews to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with internal and external requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to collect and verify data related to emissions sources, energy consumption, waste management, and other relevant factors.
Support greenhouse gas inventories, including data collection, analysis, and reporting, in accordance with relevant standards and protocols (e.g., GHG Protocol, ISO 14064).
Identify and evaluate emissions reduction opportunities and work with cross-functional teams to develop strategies for emissions mitigation.
Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in GHG accounting methodologies and reporting frameworks to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
Prepare accurate and compelling reports, presentations, and recommendations to communicate GHG performance to management, clients, and regulatory bodies as needed.
Participates in EHS audits of GEHC sites and service organizations.
Supports all other duties as assigned.
Identify, eliminate and/or mitigate EHS risks, particularly in Environmental program areas.
What you'll need
Bachelor's Degree or higher in EHS, Environmental Studies, Engineering, Sustainability, etc.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Greenhouse Gas Analyst or in a similar role in GHG inventory management and/or reporting; including experience in collecting and analyzing emissions, air quality and/or energy use data.
Strong knowledge of GHG accounting methodologies, emission factors, and reporting frameworks (e.g., GHG Protocol, ISO 14064, CDP).
Familiarity with sustainability standards (e.g., GRI, SASB) and carbon offset mechanisms (e.g., CDM, VCS) is desirable.
Ability to communicate using English
Ability to travel 25% of time.
