The U.S. Mission to Nigeria comprises of the Embassy in Abuja, FCT, and the Consulate General in Lagos. U.S. Consulate General Lagos is the Mission’s representative to the Nigerian people in the southern region.

Summary

• The work schedule fo this position is: Full Time (48 number of hours per week)
• Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time (6 weeks) of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Duties

• The incumbent works in the CDC Motor pool unit.
• Incumbent daily coordinates, assigns drivers and schedules transportation for CDC personnel and official visitors.                                           

Qualifications and Evaluations
Education Requirements:

• Completion of Secondary School is required.

Experience: 

• Two (2) years of professional driving experience in host country, plus one year of motor vehicle dispatcher or fleet management experience is required.

Job Knowledge: 

• Good knowledge of host country traffic laws, vehicle licensing, registration, and procedures is required.
• Detailed knowledge of host country streets, traffic patterns, and commonly visited locations is required.

Evaluations:

• This may be tested. Please specify your level of proficiency in the language listed.

Language:

• Good Working Knowledge in English reading/writing/speaking is required.

The following is required:

• Must exercise independent judgment in setting work priorities.
• Must be able to identify problems quickly and determine the best course of action.
• Must be able to make effective and ethical decisions in the event of vehicle accidents to protect life and government property.
• Strong leadership, technical, and administrative skills.
• Basic keyboard skills and skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook applications.
• A clear valid Nigeria driver’s license is required.

Agency Benefits:

• For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.
• The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
