Job Description

• As a Short-order Cook at Gidi Burger, you will play a crucial role in our kitchen team.
• You will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes quickly and efficiently while maintaining the highest quality standards.
• Your ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing orders and ensure customer satisfaction will be essential to your success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a wide variety of menu items, including breakfast, sandwiches, burgers, and other short-order dishes.
• Ensure that all food is prepared to high-quality standards and follows our recipes and portion sizes.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen work area, including proper storage of ingredients and cleaning of equipment.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to manage food orders efficiently and ensure timely service to customers.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
• Assist in stocking and restocking inventory as needed.
• Contribute to menu development and suggest new ideas for dishes and specials.
• Handle customer inquiries and special requests courteously and professionally.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Short Order Cook or in a similar role is preferred.
• Knowledge of various cooking techniques and methods.
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils.
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to food quality.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A Food Handler’s Certificate or similar certification is a plus.
• Can commute to work within 15 – 30 minutes
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
