Job Title: Dance Instructor

Location: Gwarinpa, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Part-time

Job Description

• As a Dance Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching various dance styles to individuals or groups, helping them develop their dance skills and abilities.
• You'll create a positive and engaging learning environment to inspire students of all ages and skill levels.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver dance lessons that cater to different skill levels, from beginners to advanced dancers.
• Demonstrate dance techniques and movements for students.
• Choreograph dance routines and performances for recitals, competitions, or showcases.
• Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to improve their dance skills.
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Organize and lead dance workshops and classes.
• Ensure a safe and supportive environment for students during lessons.
• Stay updated on current dance trends and techniques.
• Manage class schedules and administrative tasks related to teaching.

Requirements
Education:

• A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Dance or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

Experience:

• Previous dance training and performance experience is essential.
• Teaching experience as a dance instructor is beneficial but not always required.

Skills:

• Proficiency in various dance styles, such as ballet, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, or ballroom.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
• Creativity in choreographing dance routines.
• Knowledge of music and rhythm.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• CPR and first aid certification (preferred).

Other Requirements:

• Physical fitness and stamina to demonstrate dance moves and maintain an active teaching schedule.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends, as dance classes often take place during these times.
• Certification from a reputable dance organization or association is a plus.
