Job Title: Senior Copywriter

Job Summary

• As a Senior Copywriter at Vyrus, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the narrative and communication strategies of our clients.
• Your primary responsibility will be to conceptualize and develop communication ideas that align seamlessly with our clients' communication strategies and briefs.
• In addition to your creative duties, you will assume a leadership role by supervising and mentoring executives and trainees to ensure they uphold the same high level of creativity and quality in their work.
• Your role is critical in ensuring that all content produced under your supervision is not only coherent and error-free but also captivates and engages the target audience effectively.
• As a Senior Copywriter, you are expected to set and maintain the highest standards of thinking and writing, contributing to the elevation of copywriting quality within our department and the industry as a whole.

Key Responsibilities

• As the Senior Copywriter, your key responsibilities will include:
• Conceptualization and Ideation: Generate creative communication ideas in alignment with communication strategies and client briefs.
• Copywriting Excellence: Produce high-quality copy that reflects the highest standards of thinking and writing, ensuring error-free and engaging content.
• Supervision: Oversee and mentor executives and trainees, guiding them in maintaining creativity and quality in their work.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that all copy leaving the desk is coherent and effectively communicates with the target audience.
• Continuous Improvement: Continually seek opportunities to elevate the standards of copywriting within the department and contribute to industry excellence.
• Client Presentation: Capably present creative concepts and ideas to clients in a compelling and persuasive manner.
• Client Interaction: Liaise with key internal and external client contacts as needed to present and sell concepts and ideas effectively.
• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including art directors, account managers, and clients, to achieve creative and strategic objectives.
• Adherence to Deadlines: Ensure that all copywriting tasks are completed within designated timelines and meet project deadlines.
• Industry Awareness: Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging communication strategies to inform creative work.

Key Attributes / Qualifications of Ideal Candidate

• A graduate of any field from a reputable higher institution.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in the copywriting industry.
• Proficiency in various writing styles, techniques, and tools.
• A commitment to quality and creativity, with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• SEO proficiency, ensuring content is optimized for search engines.
• Adaptability, with the capability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written.
• Age Range: 23 – 28 years.

Salary
N150,000 - N180,000 / month.
