Job Title: Cyber Security Engineer

Job Description
The Lead, Cybersecurity Engineer is responsible for ensuring that managed clients are protected from Cyber Risks by employing a broad range of technology-enabled services to prevent, detect and manage cyber threats. Developing strategic and tactical plans for the information security of the clients.
Technical Security Management:
Provide technical advice and support to end-users (Clients) and the internal sales team on a wide range of different technologies and solutions
Monitor managed clients for cyber-attacks, intrusions, unusual, unauthorized, or illegal activity
Recommend suitable enhancements to improve cyber security performance
Adopt the use of advanced analytic tools (Metaspioltable, Nessus, Qualys, Kali, Linux, Acunetix Slem Solution) to determine emerging threat patterns and vulnerabilities for managed clients
Monitors User-identity by monitoring to avoid abuse of permissions by authorized system users
Engage periodic in Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (for example, simulating security breaches for client’s accounts
Assist where appropriate with the specification, software installation, configuration, and commissioning of software, and provide ongoing technical support including liaison with suppliers to resolve issues, where required
Assist with the testing of client’s own software products, communicating these results to help develop and upgrade product offerings
Test and evaluate new software products from suppliers, informing internal decisions on adoption and appropriate sales and support strategies

Test incident response plans periodically to ensure response times and executed procedures are acceptable
Market Awareness:
Review business and security environment to identify existing requirements
Provide industry trends, opportunities for expansion, and projections of future company growth
Research/evaluate emerging cyber security threats and ways to manage them.
Keep up to date with the latest cyber security trends and technology developments that could impact users’ vulnerability
Risk Management:
Establish review procedures based on the client’s security risk management plan
Rate and categorize potential security incidents
Research/evaluate emerging cyber security threats and ways to manage them effectively
Plan for disaster recovery in the event of any security breaches for managed clients
Identify potential weaknesses and implement measures, such as firewalls and encryption
Investigate security alerts and provide an incident response for all assigned clients
Monitors User-identity by monitoring to avoid abuse of permissions by authorized system users
Evaluate response plans periodically to ensure relevance
Identify threats and risks that are relevant to the client’s operations and systems

Strategic Partnerships & Relationship Management:
Manage key stakeholders (internal and external) and optimize relationships for the best outcomes
Build and maintain good client relationships and ensure a high level of client satisfaction
Monitor both internal and external policy compliance
Test and evaluate new software products from suppliers, informing internal decisions on adoption and appropriate sales and support strategies
After Sales support services to all managed clients
Report & Analysis:
Prepare cyber security performance report based on results from analysis and correlation of information security events
Qualifications
First Degree in Computer Science or a related field
CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) qualification
MBA in Information Systems
CC
Experience:
5-8 years experience in Cyber Security.
Excellent IT skills, including knowledge of computer networks, operating systems, software, hardware, and security.
Good working knowledge of various security technologies such as network and application firewalls, host intrusion prevention, and anti-virus.
A passion for cyber security and a keen interest in IT Ability to think like a hacker and anticipate hacker moves
Desire to self-educate on the ever-changing landscape of cyber hacking tactics
Experience in professional cybersecurity a plus
