Biomedical Limited was incorporated as a private limited liability company in April 1978 with interest in the manufacture of critical care products indispensable in healthcare delivery. Biomedical is the first pharmaceutical company in Nigeria to manufacture and distribute intravenous fluids, Dialysis and irrigation fluids and oral rehydration salts we commenced production on August 21, 1981 at our factory located in Ilorin, Kwara State is spread over 24,380sqm. As pioneer producers on this life very essential life-saving medication, we pride ourselves in producing high quality products. Our trail blazing efforts has made Nigeria self sufficient in intravenous and other perfusion fluids.

We are recruiting suitable, qualified and experienced candidates to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head, Quality Control

Location: Ilorin, Kwara
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports directly to: The Quality Assurance Manager

 The Role

• To ensure that the manufacturing production lines run smoothly and generate a consistently suitable output of products that meet quality.
• To coordinates employee and communicate between the Production teams, Quality Assurance Manager and the E.D Technical.
• Devising ways to improve the manufacturing process, reviewing new specifications and procedures for products or processes, and training staff to use them.
• To set the standard requirements for raw materials from suppliers and monitoring their compliance.
• To ensure cGMP rules/ obligations are adequately followed.
• To ensure the laboratory and production equipment are calibrated as at when due.
• Signs all Standard Operating Procedures and other QA/QC documents.
• Ensures Stability Testing of Finished Products.
• Checks for updates in Pharmacopoeias and approves final specifications.
• Serves as a member of Research and Development Committee and conducts tests on new formulations to evaluate the quality of products.
• To oversee the Chemical/Microbiological analysis of the company’s raw materials, packaging materials, In-process and finished products are conducted with approved.
• Keeping accurate documentation and performing statistical analysis which involves collecting and scrutinizing every data /test results.
• Assisting in self-inspection of the factory
• Operational knowledge of analytical instrumentation like HPLC, UV-VIS equipment, Flame photometer etc.
• Proficiency in computer.

Requirements.

• Must possess a minimum of B.Sc / HND in Chemistry, Biochemistry or Industrial chemistry.
• Must have a minimum of Five years post NYSC experience in the pharmaceutical Industry.
