Job Description
Negotiate contract agreements for products and services.
Assess contractor performance to identify the need for amendments of existing contracts.
Prepare and edit contracts between the company and potential clients.
Handle breach of contracts in a timely manner.
Serve as the main liaison with outside contracting representatives.
Develop and implement effective procurement proposals.
Research regulations to guarantee contracts are updated and in compliance with laws.
Coordinate with clients to guarantee terms of contracts are fulfilled in compliance with the contract terms and regulations.
Manage communication with vendors.
Initiate negotiations with suppliers/vendors in order to obtain best cost and lead time offerings.
Conduct performance evaluation for suppliers in order to maintain quality services.
Regularly update suppliers’ database to ensure all required data are captured and available for effective use.
Contractor prequalification and performance evaluation to meet organizational quality standards and project implementation guidelines.
Drive contract agreement/SLAs and facilitate technical and legal reviews to minimize litigation risks.
Monitor and drive contractor compliance with project commercial terms and conditions.
Manage all disciplinary actions/sanctions against contractors.
Ensure all vendors have the required certifications.
Carry out periodic checks to ensure that all contractors meet HSE standards.
Liaise with CEA and Engineering to design appropriate customer experience training for the FTTH contractors.
Follow up with Finance, user departments, and vendors on payments.
Coordinate all vendors’ commercials with regard to invoicing, delayed payment, etc.
Ensure that all relevant safety, quality, and environmental procedures and controls are adhered to so that the safety of employees, contractors, and quality of product/services and environmental compliance can be guaranteed.
Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and directives so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
Coordinate the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of processes and practices, taking into cognizance international best practices, cost reduction, and productivity improvement.
Educational Qualifications & Functional Skills
University Degree or Higher National Diploma in Management Sciences.
Postgraduate degree (MBA, M.Sc., etc.) an added advantage.
Work Experience:
A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role in Supply Chain Management.
Sound understanding and experience in Procurement & Logistics/Supply.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
In-depth knowledge of procurement regulations, contract documents, and legal specifications.
Outstanding negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Ability to resolve client complaints and concerns.
