Job Summary
Superintend marketing, sales, and branding efforts of GrainPoint operations and services.
Design, develop, and implement comprehensive marketing strategies and tactics to create awareness of GrainPoint operations and services in a cost-effective and profitable manner.
Build strategic relationships and partner with key industry players, agencies, and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities and Duties
Marketing:
Have a detailed understanding of the services GrainPoint agencies offer and the modes of operations in order to market it to clients and partners.
Prepare a roadmap for the services GrainPoints offers and evaluate the development of upcoming products, assess the sales performance, predict future sales, and prepare budgets accordingly.
Deploy successful marketing campaigns and own their implementation from ideation to execution.
Measure and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, gain insight, and assess against goals.
Put together a contact list for prospective organizations we can partner with - FCMGs, Agro-allied, banks, and insurance companies.
Drive partner engagement with FMCG and agrochemical companies for retail distribution of their products to rural communities via GrainPoint outlets.
Drive engagements with NGOs in need of access to rural communities.
Drive partnership engagement with financial services institutions using our channels as agency banking locations, hence driving financial inclusion within the rural communities.
Communication:
Responsible for preparing and communicating GrainPoint marketing strategy, developing market segmentation, prospectus, pricing strategies, and competitive analysis.
Drive social media engagement and visibility, especially LinkedIn as a good number of international bodies and NGOs use LinkedIn when looking for partners.
Produce valuable and engaging content for the company website that attracts and converts target groups.
Brand management:
Responsible for GrainPoints brand management, sales, product development, marketing communications, pricing, distribution channel management, market research, marketing training, etc.
Strategy:
Responsible for GrainPoints strategic planning using appropriate analytical methods to define microeconomic factors, which can affect the management techniques and the success of a company.
Prepare and monitor GrainPoint marketing budget on a periodic basis and use funds as approved and agreed.
Training:
Provide content and participate in the onboarding of new employees.
Provide content and participate in the process of training department employees.
Requirements
First Degree or higher Diploma in Social Science, Marketing.
Experience in market research and marketing of agricultural products is required.
Has knowledge of:
Data analysis and report writing.
Selling techniques and pipeline management
Has the ability to:
Work under pressure.
Understand and follow the company policies and procedures.
