We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Tax Manager

Location: Eric Moore / Surulere, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Reporting Line: The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) or Director of Finance.

Responsibilities
Tax Compliance:

• Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns, including Paye tax, corporate tax, withholding tax and VAT and other statutory tax payments.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations and adapt the organization's processes and strategies accordingly.
• Review and oversee the preparation of tax provisions in the financial statements to comply with accounting standards.

Tax Planning:

• Develop and implement tax-efficient strategies to minimize the organization's tax liability.
• Provide guidance on structuring transactions, investments, and other financial decisions to optimize tax outcomes.
• Identify and pursue tax incentives, credits, and deductions available to the organization.

Risk Management:

• Assess and manage tax-related risks by conducting regular audits and reviews of financial data and transactions.
• Ensure compliance with transfer pricing rules and international tax regulations if applicable.

Team Leadership:

• Provide supervision, direction and control over team members and arrange periodic training to enhance their knowledge and efficiency.

Communication and Reporting:

• Communicate tax strategies and findings to senior management, providing recommendations for decision-making.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on the organization's tax status and liabilities.

Collaboration:

• Collaborate with other departments, such as legal, finance, and operations, to ensure tax considerations are integrated into business decisions.
• Work with external auditors, tax authorities, and consultants as needed.

Qualifications
Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (professional qualification in tax management, ICAN, ACCA).

Skills Requirements:

• Proven experience in tax management, accounting standards well versed with tax compliances regulations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of Proficiency in using tax related software and Microsoft Excel.

• Compensation package will commensurate with educational qualifications/ Work experience and will match industry standards.
