Job Title: Legal and Compliance Officer

Job Overview

• As the Legal and Compliance Officer, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our business group's integrity, reputation, and legal compliance.
• You will work closely with various departments and stakeholders to implement and enforce our compliance policies and practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and monitor all company activities to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs, policies, and procedures.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in relevant laws and regulations, and ensure the organization's adherence.
• Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to identify areas of non-compliance or vulnerability.
• Provide guidance and training to employees on legal and compliance matters.
• Investigate and address compliance violations and report any irregularities to senior management.
• Collaborate with external legal counsel as needed and represent the company during regulatory inspections or audits.
• Assist in contract drafting, maintaining and managing legal documents and contracts, including negotiating and drafting agreements when required.
• Assist in the development of business policies and strategies to ensure legal compliance.
• Advise senior management on legal and compliance matters, including potential risks and solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Law or a related field; a master's degree or legal certification is a plus.
• 6 -10 years of experience as a legal and compliance officer in a business group or related field.
• Strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply them effectively.
• Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to upholding the highest legal and ethical standards.
